HATFIELD, Pa. — East Coast and Pennsylvania artists will be well represented when Alderfer Auctions holds an online only single owner auction on Aug. 21. This kicks off a two-day event, which will feature a live discovery day auction on Aug. 22 followed by an online and live auction. Richard E. and Elisabeth Poole of Rehoboth, Del., were collectors of fine art and designer jewelry. Artists offered include Christopher H. Shearer, Charles Gruppe, Carl Weber, Bennett Bradbury, Edmund Darch Lewis and George McConnell. The live and online Collector’s Auction is filled with fine curations of vehicles, art, antiques, furnishings, decorative accessories and jewelry selected by Alderfer’s team of professionals. Vibrant colors of fine Japanese Porcelain, featuring portions of The Drick-Messing published collection, compose 70 pieces in this auction. Period furniture, Stickley mission oak, tiger maple step-back and corner cupboards keep the collector appeal as modern furniture, attributed to Paul Mc Cobb, waits for a discerning buyer. Alderfer Auction’s roots in Bucks County Impressionism is reflected in the fine art of Ranulph Bye, Christopher Willett, Walter E. Baum, Mildred Gehman, Christopher H. Shearer and Bennett Bradbury. The regional appeal continues with the 15-piece collection of sculpture from the Philadelphia artist Joseph Greenberg. Vehicles include a rare 1965 Willys Jeep FC-150; low-mileage 1999 Jaguar XK8 with only 29,856 original miles; and a fun 1993 Nissan 240SX Convertible.
