Skinner will offer items with Porter provenance
MARBOROUGH, Mass. — Items from an icon in the antiques industry will be offered at Skinner’s on Nov. 2-3. AdderallThe renowned auction house will be selling items from Tom and Carolyn Porter. The couple was instrumental in taking Garth’s auction house in Ohio from a small operation to a power house in the industry.

Other items offered in the auction will be from William McKeever, Brian and Pam Ehrlich, Pam Boynton, and August Knapp. The live portion of the sale will be held Nov. 2-3, an Americana online sale which features items from all the collections mentioned above, will end for bidding on Nov. 5.

Provigilsmart.com Tom Porter died in 2010. Throughout his more than 40 years of involvement with Garth’s, he became well known for his quick wit, depth of knowledge, auctioneering and wonderful stories. For many years, Tom was a primary contributor to the popular HGTV series The Appraisal Fair.
