Collectors get a bang out of vintage fireworks |

Peonies, chrysanthemums, dahlias. Snaps, poppers, spinners. Snakes, strobes, fountains. Who hasn’t looked up into an otherwise dark sky and been enchanted by fireworks? Colorful, loud, but with a hint of danger, firework displays are the much-anticipated climax of many community Fourth of July celebrations, a tradition that dates to Philadelphia in 1777. |
