What fun would Las Vegas be if you didn’t take in some of the sights? Tonight I went out with Barbara Crews from About.com/collectibles division, Bobbie from About’s action figure division, Diane from a marketing firm that covers eBay and Susan, also in marketing.

We decided to go to the Hilton to see the Star Trek exhibit. They quickly learned that yes, I am a geek trekkie. I loved it! Of course the experience ended in a gift shop, so now I am the proud owner of a tribble. I can’t wait to annoy people on the plane with it. But, it is SO cute.

If you like Star Trek at all, I highly recommend the Star Trek experience at the Hilton.

In work related events I attended two roundtable discussions, one on antiques and one on art. They were both highly informative. Anyone selling or buying in either category would have gotten their money’s worth by attending these discussions. The number one tip people mentioned in both was that if you are a seller, you have to make your buyer’s comfortable. You need to educate them about what you have and you need to be honest.

I’ll write more on these topics later. Right now I have to check to see if the Tribble has reproduced and filled my suitcase yet!
